Alex Walker, MSN, ANP-BC is an experienced Adult Nurse Practitioner bringing more than two decades of advanced clinical expertise to West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute. A West Tennessee native, Alex began his healthcare career as a cardiac intensive care nurse before earning his Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University.

Alex’s extensive background spans cardiovascular disease management, advanced prevention programs, pain management, and hormone optimization. Prior to joining West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute, he served as the District Manager for Biote across West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and East Arkansas, where he trained providers, supported clinical teams, and expanded access to bioidentical hormone therapy. His clinical career also includes nearly a decade with New Life Medical Group, where he treated acute and chronic pain, performed ultrasound-guided procedures, and provided medical weight-loss care.

Earlier in his career, Alex founded Walker Clinic, a heart attack and stroke prevention practice that provided advanced diagnostic testing and wellness screenings to communities and corporate settings across West Tennessee. He has served patients in cardiology, primary care, and specialty medicine settings since 1997.

Alex’s professional interests include integrative wellness, cardiovascular prevention, bioidentical hormone therapy, advanced ultrasound techniques, and patient-centered chronic disease management. He is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and holds Tennessee licensure as both an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.

He has participated in national clinical trials, contributed to published cardiovascular research, and served as a speaker for Boston Heart Diagnostics, Berkeley Heart Labs, Solvay, and Abbott.

In addition to his clinical work, Alex is deeply rooted in community service. He has led men’s ministry initiatives, youth programs, medical mission trips, and multiple charity 5K events benefiting organizations such as the American Heart Association and Chester County Parks & Recreation.
