General Summary: A nonexempt position responsible for the cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for staff, patients and visitors.

Position: Part-time

Hours: M-F, 5p-9p

Wage: $14/hr

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility.
    • Daily Tasks include: vacuum all carpet and floor mats, damp mop all tile or laminate floors, empty all trash and take to dumpster, clean entry door glass, spot clean glass and mirrors throughout office, clean and sanitize restrooms, refill toilet paper, soap and towel dispensers as needed, clean breakroom (sink, countertop, table tops, floors, wipe out microwave), dust (uncovered areas, windowsills, phones, computers), remove cobwebs from corners of ceilings and baseboards, spot clean new carpet spots, dust baseboards (as needed), spot clean doors and walls (as needed), dust overhead vents and blinds (as needed).
  2. Disinfect surfaces using approved cleaning agents and methods, paying close attention to high-touch surfaces.
  3. Collect and dispose of waste, re-line trash cans.
  4. Collect bio-hazardous waste bags (securely tied and placed in assigned location by clinical staff) and place in large red bio-hazard bag to dispose of in the Bio-Hazard storage area. Training will be provided.
  5. Restock supplies and inventory as needed.
  6. Communicate supply needs to Facility Maintenance team or supervisor.
  7. Operate various cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, supply cart, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning tools.

Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning or environmental services role preferred.
