Data Entry Specialist – JACKSON, TN

Description

General Summary: A nonexempt position responsible for posting charges for services rendered for multiple providers, specialties, and all offices affiliated with WTBJC.  Responsible for reviewing fee slips and auditing fees for anesthesia to include verifying correct modifiers and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Position type: Full-time

Hours: M-F, 8-5

Starting Salary: $15/hr.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews completed charge slips for posting.
  2. Verifies data and makes corrections if necessary
  3. Update data and delete unnecessary files
  4. Review and prepare anesthesia charge slips for data entry
  5. Check completed work for accuracy
  6. Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
  7. Adheres to clinic policies and procedures and participates in clinic events as to promote positive growth within the clinic.

Education: High School diploma preferred.

Experience: One year of job-related course work or previous experience preferred.
